Good afternoon!

I'm sending out this email to let you know about six weeks ago I submitted an application to become a USA Pickleball Ambassador for Catawba County.  Two weeks ago I had a face to face interview with Wayne Spong Jr., who is the District USA Pickleball Ambassador for Western North Carolina.  And this week I received an email from USA Pickleball letting me know that I was "officially approved as a USA Pickleball Ambassador serving Catawba County, NC, part of the Western North Carolina District in the Mid Atlantic Region."

My role as a USA Pickleball Ambassador is to use my passion for pickleball and love of my community to act as a "volunteer representative and unofficial spokesperson for Catawba County and to promote and grow the sport of pickleball ."

In order to do that I believe that communication between all of the pickleball players in Catawba County is vital.  Whether players play at public courts in Hickory, Newton, and Conover, or at the private clubs throughout our county, it's important that all of us feel a "love of pickleball" connection with one another. 

So I'm going to be reaching out to everyone involved with pickleball in our county and see how we can work together to continue the growth of pickleball.  As I meet new pickleball players throughout the county I'll be adding them to this group email so I can effectively communicate with as many pickleball players as possible with one email.  This will also make it easier for everyone to contact me if you have questions, concerns, or thoughts about pickleball in our area or pickleball in general!

The main reason for this email is to let you know that from now on the emails I send out will be as the USA Pickleball Ambassador for Catawba County instead of as a member of the Foothills Pickleball Association. 

I want to thank each of you for all you are doing and have done to help grow pickleball throughout our area!  Your love for the game has inspired so many others to pick up a paddle and join the fun!  I am beyond excited and honored to be the USA Pickleball Ambassador for Catawba County and look forward to working with everyone to continue the rapid growth of pickleball in our area!
