Good morning pickleball players!

I just wanted to give you a quick update on the possibility of the indoor pickleball facility in Hickory.

Considering the fact that it has been over 10 days since I've heard anything from the two gentlemen who were looking to create this pickleball facility, I believe the indoor pickleball facility in Hickory is not going to come to fruition (at least for now).

I know there were some issues with the size of the original building as well as some concerns over when the other buildings on the property were going to be available. I just don't believe an agreement could be reached between the two investors and the current property owner.

They have not informed me as to whether they are looking at other properties in this area to create that facility or not.

I apologize for getting everyone's hopes up!!!

In better news, it appears that when the Pebble Creek Racquet Club (Hickory) is updated they will be looking to include at least 4 pickleball courts with lights. The actual number of courts and cost of membership is yet to be determined.

The contractors who resurfaced the courts at Westmont and Taft Broome (both in Hickory) have been looking at what issues need to be fixed at those courts. They know of the water issues and I made them away of all the dead spots (sent them pics of every one of them) in the courts at Westmont. I do not yet know if those will be repaired, and if so, at what cost. I'll update you when I know more information.

On a personal note, thanks to those of you who have used my discount code to purchase CRBN paddles/gear. I'm glad you were able to demo some of my paddles and found one you liked. I hope you're loving your new paddles!

I hate that I don't have better news about the indoor facility, and again, sorry to get your hopes up!
